Michael Stanley

Michael P.H. Stanley, MD is currently a neurologist at the Harvard-affiliated Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He specializes in cognitive and behavioral disorders, with a particular focus on the intersection of neurology and the arts. In addition to his clinical duties, he serves on the board of the American Osler Society; the awards committee for the American Academy of Neurology’s McHenry Award for History of Neurology, the Social Messaging Editor for the Annals of Neurology, and most recently the Director of Outreach and Engagement for the Boston Society of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry. He is a frequent contributor on matters of medicine & society to the lay press, including The Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, NPR/WBUR, among others.
